Rajasthan Constable Exam Pattern

The Rajasthan Home Guard recruitment for the post of Constable will be held in various phases. To ensure success, it is necessary to know the complete Rajasthan Constable exam pattern 2024. The Rajasthan Home Guard selection process for the various Constable posts will consist of four stages of assessment: Written Exam, Physical Efficiency Test, Technical Ability, Desirable Ability (NCC/Home Guard/Computer Ability). The various stages will have different marks for evaluation.

Written Exam

There will be an objective type test for the post of Rajasthan Constable. The test will be conducted in offline mode and will be OMR based. The Rajasthan Constable exam pattern 2024 includes three sections - Reasoning Ability, General Knowledge, General Science & Current Affairs and Rajasthan State's History, Culture,etc. in the written test. The total number of questions are 120 with a composite timing of 2 hours.

  • The maximum number of questions will be asked from the section based on Rajasthan State’s culture & history.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for General, OBC, EBC, & EWS categories will be 40 % and for SC/ST categories it will be 36%.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The candidates who are able to clear the Rajasthan Constable 2024 written test will be called to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test. This test is supposed to assess the physical endurance and the fitness level of the candidates. Before appearing for the PET, the candidates will also have to obtain a medical certificate which will prove that the candidate is physically fit for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only if the candidate is declared fit enough, he/she will be allowed to appear in the PET.

The candidates will be supposed to run for 5 kms in the Physical Efficiency Test and the qualifying time will be different for different categories. The marks allotted for this stage for the post of Constable will be 20 and for all other posts will be 10 marks.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

The candidates who clear the Physical Efficiency Test will have to appear for the Physical Standard Test (PST). The selection board will check and inform the candidates about their physical standards and take their signatures as well.

If any candidate is not satisfied with their results (in case they fail) in the Physical Standards Test, he/she can make an appeal by depositing a charge of Rs 500. If after the appeal, the candidate is able to clear the PST, the charges deposited will be refunded to the candidate and he/she will be included in the further selection process.

Technical Ability

The candidates who will be applying for the Rajasthan Constable Bigular, Constable Driver, and Constable Drum man will also have to appear for another Technical Eligibility Test. The marks obtained in this test will be considered in the final selection. Those who are not able to obtain the required marks will be considered ineligible for further Rajasthan Constable recruitment process. The details are given below.

All such candidates who clear all the above-mentioned stages, will finally be eligible for the Special Eligibility Test where they will be awarded marks on the basis of the special qualifications or ‘certificates’ possessed by them, such as NCC, Home Guard and Desirable qualification (applicable to the post of Constable -General category).
