A candidate applying for recruitment in the Company must be either:—
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Furthermore, the candidate must hold a valid registration from the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for Allopathy) as on the date of the scheduled interview.

|Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) OR B.COM / M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
|Bachelor / Master’s degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Actuarial Science or any other quantitative discipline from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates
|B.E / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology/ MCA from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
|B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.Tech in Automobile Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
|Graduate / Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
|Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers
|Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks) OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks) OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks) OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks) OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as the compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks)
NICL AO Age Criteria
The NICL AO 2024 has set a clear age limit, mentioned as 21 to 30 years in the official notification. When filling out the application form, it's crucial for candidates not to exceed 30 years of age. Adhering to this age limit is necessary to be eligible for the exam. NICL AO Age Relaxation

For candidates eligible for relaxation in more than one category, the relaxation will be granted on a 'cumulative basis,' following the guidelines established by the Government or the Companies. However, it's important to note that the maximum age, even with cumulative relaxation, should not surpass 45 years.
Candidates who seek age relaxation must present the original certificates during the interview for verification.
