IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria


If you are applying for the IBPS PO exam 2020, ensure your eligibility before filling online application form. IBPS PO 2020 recruitment will have all the details regarding the eligibility and you need to fulfil all these criteria so that your candidature is not rejected at the later stage. The eligibility criteria include age, nationality, educational qualification etc.


You need to possess  certain educational qualification in order to be able to apply for IBPS PO exam 2020. To be eligible for filling up the form, you need to be a graduate as specified below.

Probationary officer A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.


You need to follow a certain criteria with respect to age so that the application form is not rejected at the final stage. IBPS every year specifies the minimum and maximum age limit beyond which you are not allowed to apply for IBPS PO 2020. The details will be mentioned in the official notification of IBPS PO 2020 and also you can have a look into the table below.

Probationary officer Minimum: 20 years / Maximum: 30 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1989 and not later than 01.08.1999 (both dates inclusive)


 Official notification of IBPS PO 2020 will also have age relaxation facility for certain reserved categories. This relaxation will vary from one category to another. You must have all the documents related to it, if you are claiming age relaxation. Further details can be inferred from the table below:

In the case of Ex- servicemen commissioned officers, including ECOs/ SSCOs, who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last date for receipt of application) other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on invalidment, subject to ceiling as per Government guidelines 5 years
Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 5 Years
Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 Years
