IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are willing to apply for the IBPS PO 2019 Exam will have to ensure their eligibility before they apply for it. IBPS specifies certain eligibility criteria for the candidates in its recruitment notification, where the candidates can check if they are eligible to fill the application form or not. The eligibility criteria include age, nationality, educational qualification etc.

IBPS PO Educational Qualification

The candidates willing to apply for the post of IBPS PO (Probationary Officer) need to possess a certain educational qualification in order to be able to apply for the post. To be eligible for filling up the form, a candidate needs to be a graduate as specified below:

Probationary officer A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.  The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

IBPS PO Age Criteria

A candidate needs to follow a certain criteria with respect to age if he/she does not wish to get the application form rejected at the final stage. IBPS every year specifies the minimum and maximum age limit beyond which any candidate is not allowed to apply for the post.

A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on August 31, 2019 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after September 01, 1989.

Age Relaxation

The age criteria that IBPS mentions in its official notification is applicable to all the candidates except a few categories where IBPS provides an age relaxation as per government rules. The details can be found in the table given below based on the official notification for IBPS PO 2018:
