Question
In the question below there are three statements followed by three conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts. Statements: Only a few Toy is Game. Some Game is Appliance. Only a few Appliance is Light. Conclusion: I. Some Light being Appliance is a possibility. II. All Appliance being Toy is a possibility. III. Some Toy is not Game.
Solution
Only a few Appliance is Light (I) → All Light may be Appliance (A). Hence conclusion I does not follow. Only a few Toy is Game (I) + Some Game is Appliance (I) → Probable conclusion → All Appliance may be Toy (A). Hence conclusion II follows. Only a few Toy is Game → Some Toy is not Game (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
