Question
In the question below there are three statements
followed by four conclusions I, II, III and IV. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts. Statements: No Spectacle are Glasses Only Spectacle are Microscope Only a few Glasses are Telescope A few Magnifier are Spectacle Conclusions: I. All Glasses can be Telescope II. No Microscope is Magnifier III. Some Magnifier are not Glasses IV. Some Telescope being Microscope is not a possibilitySolution
Only a few Glasses are Telescope → Some Glasses are Telescope (I). Hence conclusion I does not follow. Only Spectacle are Microscope → All Microscope are Spectacle and Microscope can have negative relation with anyone. Hence conclusion II and IV follow. A few Magnifier are Spectacle (I) + No Spectacle are Glasses (E) → Some Magnifier are not Glasses (O). Hence conclusion III follows.
