Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusion definitely follows from the given statements, disregarding commonly known facts. Statements: Only a few Turmeric is Cumin. All Tamarind is Cumin. Only Cumin is Coriander. Conclusion: I. Some Tamarind can be Turmeric. II. Some Coriander are Tamarind. III. Every Cumin cannot be Tamarind.Solution
Only a few Turmeric is Cumin (I) + [All Tamarind is Cumin (A) → Conversion] → Some Cumin are Tamarind (I) → Probable conclusion → Some Tamarind can be Turmeric (I). Hence conclusion I follows. Only Cumin is Coriander → All Coriander are Cumin and Coriander cannot have positive relation with anyone. Hence conclusion II does not follow but conclusion III follow.
