    Question

    In the question below there are three statements

    followed by two conclusions I and II. You have to take the three given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the three statements disregarding commonly known facts . Statements: Only a few Tool is Down. No Down is Shut. Only a few Shut is Menu. Conclusion: I. All Menu being Down is a possibility. II. Some Shut is not Tool.

    C Either conclusion I or II follows Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    No Down is Shut (E) + Only a few Shut is Menu (I) → Some Menu is not down (O*) → Probable conclusion →   Some Menu may be down (I). Hence conclusion I does not follow. Only a few Tool is Down (I) + No Down is Shut (E) → Some Tool is not Shut (O). Hence conclusion II does not follow.
