In the question below, three statements are given followed by the conclusions. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts.

Statements:

Some BMW are Audi.

All Ford are Audi.

Only a few Audi are Hondas.

Conclusions:

I. All Audi being Hondas is a possibility.

Solution

Only a few Audi are Hondas → Some Audi are Hondas (I) and Some Audi are not Hondas (O). Hence conclusion I does not follow. Some BMW are Audi (I) + [All Ford are Audi (A)] → Some Audi are Ford (I) →   No conclusion. Hence conclusion II does not follow.
