    Assuming that the information given in the statements is true, even if it appears to be at variance with commonly known facts, decide which of the given conclusions logically follow(s) from the statements. Statements: All Flight are Ticket. All Aeroplane are Ticket. Some Aeroplane are Passenger. Conclusions: I. Some Flight are Passenger. II. Some Ticket are Passenger. III. No Ticket is aeroplane. IV. No Flight are Passenger.

    Solution

    All Flight are Ticket (A) +  All Aeroplane are Ticket (A) → Conversion → Some Ticket are Aeroplane (I) → No conclusion. Hence neither conclusion I nor IV follows bit it will make a complementary pair. Hence either conclusion I or IV follows. Some Aeroplane are Passenger → Conversion → Some Passenger are Aeroplane (I) + All Aeroplane are Ticket (A) → Some Passenger are Ticket (I) → Conversion → Some Ticket are Passenger (I). Hence conclusion II follows. All Aeroplane are Ticket (A) → Conversion → Some Ticket are Aeroplane (I). Hence conclusion III does not follow.
