Some Spoons are Utensils (I) + Some Utensils are plates (I) → No conclusion. Hence neither conclusion II nor III follow. From Statement III. Each Lids are Spoons (A) + Some Spoons are Utensils (I) → Probable conclusion → No Lids may be Utensils (I). Hence conclusion I follows. Some Spoons are Utensils (I) + No Utensil is Plate (E) →   Some Spoons are not plates (O). Hence conclusion II follows. All Cups are Lids (A) + Each Lids are Spoons (A) → All Cups are Spoons (A) → Conversion → Some Spoons are Cups (I). Hence conclusion III follows.   From Statement IV. No Lid is a Spoon (E) + No Spoon is a Utensil (E) → Probable conclusion → No Lid may be Utensil (I). Hence conclusion I follows. No Spoon is a Utensil (E) + No Utensil is a Plate (E) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion II does not follow. All Cups are Lids (A) + No Lid is a Spoon (E) → No Cup is a Spoon (E). Hence conclusion III does not follow.
