Six persons T, U, V, W, X and Y live in a six storey
building but not necessarily in the same order. The bottommost floor is numbered as 1st and the topmost floor is numbered as 6th . V lives two floors above X. W lives just below Y. Y lives on a prime numbered floor. U lives below V but above T. T doesn't live below W. Who lives on 4 th floor?Solution
V lives two floors above X. W lives just below Y. Y lives on a prime numbered floor. We will have three cases, first, when Y lives on 2 nd floor, second, when Y lives on 3 rd floor and third when Y lives on 5 th floor. U lives below V but above T. T doesn't live below W. Case 3 gets eliminated. In case 1, V lives on 6 th floor, U lives on 5 th floor. In case 2, U lives on 5 th floor and T lives on 1 st floor but this case will get discarded as T doesn't live below W. The final arrangement is as follows.
