The lowermost floor of the building is numbered one; the one above it is number two and so on till the topmost floor. Each of them also likes a different laptop and car. The laptop  they like are- HP, DELL, Samsung , Lenovo, ACER, ASUS, Toshiba and car  – Mahindra, Maruti, Verna, BMW, Hyundai, Volvo, Ford but not necessarily in the same order. Only one person lives between the one who likes ACER and the one who likes ASUS. ABHISHEK does not like ACER. ANIKET does not like HP. The one who likes Volvo lives immediate above the one who likes ACER. ADITIYA lives on one of the floors below ANKIT, but does not live on the lowermost floor. The one who lives 7th floor is immediate above the one, who lives immediate below the one who likes Ford. There are three persons between ANKIT and ADITIYA. The one who likes Lenovo lives on the odd-numbered floors below ARJUN. AMAN lives immediately above ARJUN and does not like Samsung . ARJUN does not like BMW and Maruti. The one who likes Verna lives immediate above the one who likes Hyundai. The one who likes ASUS also likes Maruti. Only one person lives between ANKIT and the one who likes Samsung . The one who likes Hyundai lives below the one who likes Mahindra. Only two persons live between ANIKET and the One who likes Samsung . The one who likes DELL lives on one of the even-numbered floors above the one who likes Samsung . The one who likes Toshiba lives immediately above ANIKET. ABHISHEK lives on one of the floor above AJAY. ÂSolution
Explanation:- The one who lives 7th floor is immediate above the one, who lives immediate below the one who likes Ford. So the one who likes Ford lives on 7th floor. ADITIYA lives on one of the floors below ANKIT, but does not live on the lowermost floor. There are three persons between ANKIT and ADITIYA. So here we get two cases one when ANKIT lives on 6th floor and the other when ANKIT lives on 7th floor. Case 1 :-                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Only one person lives between ANKIT and the one who likes Samsung . The one who likes DELL lives on one of the even-numbered floors above the one who likes Samsung .Only two persons live between ANIKET and the One who likes Samsung . Here we get further two more cases so we hold this case and move further with the other one case. Case 2:- Only one person lives between ANKIT and the one who likes Samsung .The one who likes DELL lives on one of the even-numbered floors above the one who likes Samsung . Only two persons live between ANIKET and the One who likes Samsung . The one who likes Toshiba lives immediately above ANIKET. AMAN lives immediately above ARJUN and does not like Samsung. The one who likes Lenovo lives on the odd-numbered floors below ARJUN. so only one place left for Lenovo i.e. 1st floor. And for AMAN and ARJUN 6th and 5th floor respectively. ABHISHEK lives on one of the floor above AJAY. so one place left for AJAY is 1st floor. Now, The one who likes Volvo lives immediate above the one who likes ACER. Only one person lives between the one who likes ACER and the one who likes ASUS. ABHISHEK does not like ACER. So, only one place left for ACER i.e. 2nd floor. The one who likes Verna lives immediate above the one who likes Hyundai. The one who likes Hyundai lives below the one who likes Mahindra. So, only one place left for Verna and Hyundai i.e 2nd and 1st floor respectively. While ARJUN does not like BMW and Maruti. So ARJUN likes Mahindra and AMAN likes BMW. Therefore, this is the final arrangement.
