Study the following information carefully and answer the question given below: Seven persons P, Q, R, S, T, U and V live on seven different floors of a building, but not necessarily in the same order. The lowermost floor of the building is numbered one; the one above it is number two and so on till the topmost floor. Each of them also likes a different male and female Bollywood singer. The male singer they like are- Sonu nigram, Udit narayan, Arijit , A.R. Rahman, Armaan malik, Kailash kher, Milka singh and female singer are – Shreya ghoshal, Neha kakkar, Sunidhi chauhan, Lata mangeshkar, Monali thakur, Asha bhosle, Palak muchhal but not necessarily in the same order. Only one person lives between the one who likes Armaan malik and the one who likes Kailash kher. S does not like Armaan malik. V does not like Sonu nigram. The one who likes Asha bhosle lives immediate above the one who likes Armaan malik. T lives on one of the floors below Q, but does not live on the lowermost floor. The one who lives 7th floor is immediate above the one, who lives immediate below the one who likes Palak muchhal. There are three persons between Q and T. The one who likes A.R. Rahman lives on the odd-numbered floors below U. P lives immediately above U and does not like Arijit . U does not like Lata mangeshkar and Neha kakkar. The one who likes Sunidhi chauhan lives immediate above the one who likes Monali thakur. The one who likes Kailash kher also likes Neha kakkar. Only one person lives between Q and the one who likes Arijit . The one who likes Monali thakur lives below the one who likes Shreya ghoshal. Only two persons live between V and the One who likes Arijit . The one who likes Udit narayan lives on one of the even-numbered floors above the one who likes Arijit . The one who likes Milka singh lives immediately above V. S lives on one of the floor above R. ÂSolution
The one who lives 7th floor is immediate above the one, who lives immediate below the one who likes Palak muchhal. So the one who likes Palak muchhal lives on 7th floor. T lives on one of the floors below Q, but does not live on the lowermost floor. There are three persons between Q and T. So here we get two cases one when Q lives on 6th floor and the other when Q lives on 7th floor. Case 1 :-    Only one person lives between Q and the one who likes Arijit . The one who likes Udit narayan lives on one of the even-numbered floors above the one who likes Arijit  Only two persons live between V and the One who likes Arijit . Here we get further two more cases so we hold this case and move further with the other one case. Case 2:- Only one person lives between Q and the one who likes Arijit .The one who likes Udit narayan lives on one of the even-numbered floors above the one who likes Arijit . Only two persons live between V and the One who likes Arijit . The one who likes Milka singh lives immediately above V. P lives immediately above U and does not like Arijit narayan. The one who likes A.R. Rahman lives on the odd-numbered floors below U. so only one place left for A.R. Rahman i.t. 1st floor. And for P and U 6th and 5th floor respectively. S lives on one of the floor above R. so one place left for R is 1st floor. Now, The one who likes Asha bhosle lives immediate above the one who likes Armaan malik. Only one person lives between the one who likes Armaan malik and the one who likes Kailash kher. S does not like Armaan malik. So, only one place left for Armaan malik i. t. 2nd floor. The one who likes Sunidhi chauhan lives immediate above the one who likes Monali thakur. The one who likes Monali thakur lives below the one who likes Shreya ghoshal. So, only one place left for Madona and Monali thakur i.t. 2nd and 1st floor respectively. While U does not like Lata mangeshkar and Neha kakkar. So U likes Shreya ghoshal and P likes Lata mangeshkar.
Therefore, this is the final arrangement.Â
