    C’s flat? Answer the questions based on the information given below. Eight persons P, Q, E, F, C, D, J and U are living in a building having four floors where ground floor is numbered as 1, the floor above it is numbered as 2 and so on till the topmost floor which is numbered as 4. Each floor is having two types of flats i.e. Flat – W and Flat – X such that flat – W of floor – 2 is exactly above the flat – W of floor – 1 and exactly below the flat – W of floor – 3 and so on. Similarly, flat – X of floor – 2 is exactly above the flat – X of floor – 1 and exactly below the flat – X of floor – 3 and so on. Also, Flat – X is to the east of Flat – W. There is one floor between Q’s and F’s floor. E lives just below D’s flat such that both live in the same type of flat. J and U live in the same type of flat such that J lives just above U’s floor and lives immediate west of Q. C does not live in flat which is adjacent to J’s flat. F lives on a floor above Q. Q and F live in different types of flats.

    1. E lives just below D’s flat such that both live in the same type of flat. 2. J and U live in the same type of flat such that J lives just above U’s floor and lives immediate west of Q. 3. C does not live in flat which is adjacent to J’s flat. 4. F lives on p floor above Q. So, Q must live in flat – X of floor – 2 as J lives immediate west of Q and J lives above the floor on which U lives, which means F lives on topmost floor in flat – W. Now, D and E lives in same flat and E live below D which means E must live on floor – 3 in flat – X and D lives on 4th floor in flat – X. Now, C and J do not live in same flat which means C must live on ground floor in flat –X so, U must live on ground floor in flat – W. The final arrangement is as follows:
