different floors of a building, where the bottommost floor is 1 and the floor is 2 and so on. Who lives on the topmost floor? Statement I: Three persons live between L and R, who lives second to the below of M. P lives above B. Statement II: One person lives between P and Q. O lives immediately above R, who lives above N. The question given below consists of two statements numbered I, and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read all the statement and answer the question.Solution
From statement I and statement II alone, we cannot answer the question. On combining both statement we get, Three persons live between L and R, who lives second to the below of M. P lives above M. One person lives between P and Q. O lives immediately above R, who lives above N. The final arrangement is as follows: Either P or Q lives on the topmost floor. Therefore, both statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.
