Sum of all the place value of vowels is subtract from the sum of all the place value of consonants as per English alphabetical order. LADDER → (L + D + D + R) – (A + E) = (12 + 4 + 4 + 18) – (1 + 5) = 38 – 6 = 32. SOUTH → (S +T + H) – (O + U) = (19 + 20 + 8) – (15 + 21) = 47 – 36 = 11. MOTHER → (M + T + H + R) – (O + E) = (13 + 20 + 8 + 18) – (15 + 5) = 59 – 20 = 39.
