    Question

Two triangles ACB and PQR are similar to each other. If AC

= 8 cm, PQ = 12 cm and PR = 16.8 cm, then find the length of AB.
A 10.4 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 11.2 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 10.2 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 11.6 cm Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

If two triangles are similar, then corresponding sides are in same proportion.

    (AC/PQ) = (AB/PR)

    Or, (8/12) = (AB/16.8)

    So, AB = 11.2 cm
