Distance covered by the train in 15 seconds = length of the train Distance covered by the train in 18.75 seconds = length of the train + 120 metres So, distance covered by the train in (18.75 - 15) seconds = 120 metres So, speed of the train = 120 ÷ 3.75 = 32 m/s length of the train = 32 X 15 = 480 metres
