    Let speed of train is ‘x’ m/s So, length of train = 18 × x = 18x metres And, 18x + 444 = 1.75 × x × 42 Or, 55.5x = 444 Or, x = 8 m/s So, length of train = 18 × 8 = 144 metres Desired time = (144 + 136)/8 = 35 seconds
