Question
A group of 36 boys works 13 hours per day and completes
37.5% of a task in 20 days. After these 20 days, 'X' boys leave the job. The remaining boys continue the work, now putting in 15 hours per day, and finish the rest of the task in 52 days. If a team of (5X) boys works 12 hours per day, how many days will they take to complete the entire task on their own?Solution
ATQ,
36 * 13 * 20/(37.5/100) = (36 – X) * 15 * 52/((100 – 37.5)/100)
12 * 8/3 = (36 – X) * 100/62.5
X = 36 – 20 = 16
Let the number of days in which 5X boys complete the whole work be 'n' days.
36 * 13 * 20/(37.5/100) = (5 * 16) * 12 * n
n = 26
