Question
Amisha is 50% more efficient than Khushi. Amisha started
a work, worked for 'w' days and then Khushi replaced Amisha. khushi completed the remaining work in (w + 12) days. The ratio of the work done by Amisha and khushi is 3:4. In how many days can Amisha and Khushi together can complete the whole work?Solution
ATQ, Let us assume that khushi alone can complete the work in 'k' days khushi one day work is (1/k) Amisha one day work is = (150/100) × (1/k) = (3/2k) w(3/2k) + (w + 12) (1/k) = 1.......(1) (3w/2k) : (w + 12)/k = 3:4...........(2) From (1) and (2) we will get w = 12, and k = 42 so Amisha can complete the work in 28 days and khushi in 42 days. (1/28) + (1/42) = (5/84) or (84/5) or 16(4/5)
The product of two numbers is 5760 and their GCD is 48. What is the LCM?
Two positive integers have HCF 12 and LCM 180. If the sum of the two numbers is 96, what is the positive difference between them?
The LCM and the HCF of the numbers 25 and 50 are in the ratio:
Find the HCF of two numbers if LCM and product of those two numbers are 34 and 680 respectively.
HCF of two numbers 64 and 96 can be expressed in the form of (20m – 108) whereas LCM of these two numbers can be expressed in the form of (60n – 18)...
What is the difference between the LCM and HCF of 32, 40?
