Question
The ratio of the speeds of Raj and Rahul is 5:4
respectively. Tarun travels 600 km in 10 hours. If Rahul's speed is 20% lower than Tarun’s, how long will Raj take to travel 500 km?Solution
ATQ,
Speed of Tarun = 600/10 = 60 km/hr
So, speed of Rahul = 0.8 × 60 = 48 km/hr
Therefore, speed of Raj = (5/4) × 48 = 60 km/hr
Therefore, required time = 500/60 = 8.33 hours
