first 300 km on car with a speed of 60 km/h and rest of the distance on bike whose speed is 40 km/h less than that of the car. Find his average speed for the whole journey.Solution
Total time taken to cover the whole journey = 300/60 + 100/20 = 5 + 5 = 10 km Desired average speed = 400/10 = 40 km/h
