Question
A train has to cover a distance of 210 km in 14 hours. If it covers half journey in 4/7th time, then the speed of covering the remaining distance in the time left has to be:
Solution
Speed = Distance/time = 210/14 = 15 km/hr According to the question, New time = 4/7 x 14 = 8 hrs New distance = 1/2 x 210 = 105 km Required speed = Distance left/Time left = 105/6 = 17.5 km/hr
