    In the following questions, two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and give answer.

    Solution

    I. x² + 3x – 154 = 0 x² + 14 x - 11 x – 154 = 0 x (x + 14) – 11(x + 14) = 0 x = 11, - 14 II. y² + 5y – 126 = 0 y² - 9y + 14 y  – 126 = 0 y (y – 9) + 14(y – 9) = 0 y  = 9, - 14 Hence, relationship cannot be established between x and y
