    Let the sum invested by the man be Rs. x Time for which the sum is invested = 22 – 11 = 11 years According to the question, {(x × 7.5 × 11)/100} + x = 6840 Or, 1.9x = 6840 Or, x = 3600 Therefore, the sum invested by the man = Rs. 3600
