Let number of pens with Sumit, Rohan, Chetan, Dheeraj and Gagan be 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 6x respectively. It is clear from the question that Chetan has 40 pens which is 20% of total number of pens Let total number of pens be x. ∴ 20% of x = 40⇒ x = 200 ∴ Rohan has 3/20 × 200 = 30 pens
