Question
The ratio of the times taken by Aman, Bharat, and Charan to complete a task is 3:5:7 respectively. Dev takes 4 minutes more than Aman. If the difference in time between Charan and Aman is 48 minutes, what is the ratio of Bharat’s time to Dev’s time?
Solution
Let the times be 3x, 5x, and 7x respectively.Â
Dev = 3x + 4
ATQ,Â
7x - 3x = 48Â
Or, 4x = 48Â
Or, x = 12
Bharat = 5 × 12 = 60Â
Dev = 36 + 4 = 40
Required ratio = 60:40 = 3:2Â Â
