According to the question, A’s saving = Rs. 1500 So, 4x - 3y = 1500 ...(i) B’s saving = Rs. 1500 So, 3x - 2y = 1500 ...(ii) Multiplying equation (i) by 2: 8x - 6y = 3000 ...(iii) Multiplying equation (ii) by 3: 9x - 6y = 4500 ...(iv) Subtracting equation (iii) from equation (iv), x = 1500 So, A’s income = 4x = 4 × 1500 = Rs. 6000 Hence, A’s income is Rs. 6000.
