A group of 20 boys can complete a
task in 15 days. Similarly, 24 girls can finish the same task in 20 days. If the ratio of the efficiencies of each boy and each girl is a:b (where a and b are co-prime), determine the value of a+b.Solution
ATQ,
Let efficiency of each boy be 'b' units/day and that of each girl be 'g' units/day ATQ: 20 × 15b = 24 × 20g Or, (b/g) = (8/5) So, a = 8 and b = 5 So, required value = 8 + 5 = 13
