The cost price of 21 mangoes is Rs.200. Because of bad
quality of mangoes, the shopkeeper has to sell mangoes at a loss that is equal to selling price of 4 mangoes. Find the price at which the mangoes were sold.Solution
Let the selling price of one mango be Rs. x So, the selling price of 21 mangoes = Rs.21x Now, => 21x = 200 – 4x => x = 8 Therefore the selling price of 21 mangoes = 21 × 8 = Rs.168
