Question
Neha purchased a refrigerator for Rs. (6000 + x). She sold
it to Raj at a profit of 12%. Raj then sold it to Tarun at a profit of 15%, and Tarun sold it to Vishal at a profit of 10%. If Vishal paid Rs. 8673.6 for the refrigerator, then find the value of 'x'.Solution
ATQ,
(6000 + x) × 1.12 × 1.15 × 1.10 = 8673.6
Or, 6000 + x = (8673.6 / 1.4196)
So, x = 6108 - 6000 = 108
Therefore, the value of 'x' is 108
