    Let the first, second, third and fourth child get a, b, c, and d respectively. a = 2b = 3c = 4d = 12 (suppose) a=12, b = 6, c = 4, d = 3 12+6+4+3 = 25 units 25 units = 550 1 unit = 22 Gift received by the first and second children = 12 + 6 = 18 units   = 18 x 22 = 396
