    Let the total capacity of the tank be 48 litres. {LCM (16 and 24)} So, the efficiency of pipe 'Q' = 48 ÷ 24 = 2 litres/minute Combined efficiency of pipe 'P' and 'Q' = 48 ÷ 16 = 3 litres/minute So, the efficiency of 'P' = 3 - 2 = 1 litre/minute So, the required time = 48 ÷ 1 = 48 minutes
