Let total capacity of cistern = LCM(24, 32 ) = 96 L So A can fill in 1 min = 96/24 = 4L & B can fill in 1 min = 96/32 = 3L Now B is left in between , it means A is opened all time. So in 18 min, A can fill = 18 × 4 = 72L So remaining tank = 96 – 72 = 24L So B can do it in = 24/3 = 8 min
