Let the total capacity of the tank be 144 litres (LCM of 36, 48, and 144).
Efficiency of 'A' = 144 ÷ 36 = 4 litres/minute
Efficiency of 'B' = 144 ÷ 48 = 3 litres/minute
Efficiency of 'C' = 144 ÷ 144 = -1 litre/minute
Required time = 144 ÷ (4 + 3 - 1) = 144 ÷ 6 = 24 minutes
