    Let the total marks of the test be ‘x’ Therefore, marks scored by P = 0.28x Therefore, passing marks of the test = 0.28x + 40 Marks scored by Q = 0.36x Also, passing marks of the test = 0.36x – 20 Therefore, 0.28x + 40 = 0.36x – 20 Or, 0.08x = 60 Or, x = 60/0.08 = 750 Therefore, total marks of the test = 750
