Question
M and N invested Rs. 28000 and Rs. 22000 in a business.
After 3 months, O joined with Rs. 35000. At the end of the year, M’s share is Rs. 3500 more than N’s share. Find the total profit.Solution
Profit share ratio = (28000 × 12) : (22000 × 12) : (35000 × 9)
= 336000 : 264000 : 315000
= 112 : 88 : 105
Simplify ratio = 16 : 12 : 15 Sum = 16 + 12 + 15 = 43
Let total profit = 43x
ATQ,
16x – 12x = 3500
4x = 3500
x = 875 Total profit = 43 × 875 = Rs. 37625
