investing in the ratio 11:7. After 3 months, Tanya joined with an amount equal to the average of both. At the end of 18 months, the business earned Rs. 7,44,000 in profit. What was Kunal’s profit?
A Rs.1,25,320 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs.2,56,320 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs.2,04,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs.5,36,300 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    ATQ,

Let investments be Rs. ‘11x’ and Rs. ‘7x’ respectively.

    Tanya’s investment = (11x + 7x)/2 = Rs. ‘9x’

    Profit share = (11x × 18) : (7x × 18) : (9x × 15) = 198 : 126 : 135

    Simplify → 66:42:45

    So, Kunal’s share = 744000 × (42/153) = Rs. 2,04,000
