investing in the ratio 11:7. After 3 months, Tanya joined with an amount equal to the average of both. At the end of 18 months, the business earned Rs. 7,44,000 in profit. What was Kunal’s profit?Solution

Let investments be Rs. ‘11x’ and Rs. ‘7x’ respectively.
Tanya’s investment = (11x + 7x)/2 = Rs. ‘9x’
Profit share = (11x × 18) : (7x × 18) : (9x × 15) = 198 : 126 : 135
Simplify → 66:42:45
So, Kunal’s share = 744000 × (42/153) = Rs. 2,04,000
