    Let Mahesh stayed for 'n' months.

    Profit ratio = (6,000 × 12) : (9,000 × n) = 72,000 : 9,000n

    So, 72,000 : 9,000n = 4 : 3

    ⇒ 3 × 72,000 = 4 × 9,000n

    ⇒ 2,16,000 = 36,000n

    ⇒ n = 6
