A Rs.7,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs.8,500 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs.6,800 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs.8,800 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Rs.6,400 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Let the amount received (in Rs.) by Ashish, Rohit and Dinesh be x, y and z respectively.

    ∴ x = (y + z)/4

    ∴ 4x = y + z ... (i)

    Similarly, z = (x + y)/12

    ∴ 12z = x + y ... (ii)

    Solving (i) and (ii); 4x βˆ’ 12z = z βˆ’ x

    ∴ 5x = 13z i.e. z = 5x/13

    Putting the value of z in (i), y = 47x/13

    ∴ x : y : z = x : 47x/13 : 5x/13 = 13 : 47 : 5

    ∴ Difference between the share of Rohit and Ashish = [(47 βˆ’ 13)/(13 + 47 + 5)] X 16250

    = (34/65) X 16250 = Rs. 8,500
