copper in ratio 3:2:5 respectively is mixed with 20 grams of alloy 'B' which contains only silver and copper in ratio 3:1 respectively. Find the total ratio of silver to copper in the final mixture.
    A 27 : 35 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 15 : 17 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 3 : 5 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 5 : 3 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    E 2 : 3 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Quantity of silver in 60 gram of alloy 'A' = 60 × (2/10) = 12 gram
    Quantity of copper in 60 gram of alloy 'A' = 60 × (5/10) = 30 gram
    Quantity of silver in 20 gram of alloy 'B' = 20 × (3/4) = 15 gram
    Quantity of copper in 20 gram of alloy 'B' = 20 × (1/4) = 5 gram
    Required ratio = (12 + 15) : (30 + 5) = 27 : 35
