36 litres of water is added, the ratio becomes 5:6. Find the total quantity of the final mixture.Solution
ATQ,
Milk : Water = 5:4 → Total = 9 parts
Let total = 9x
→ Milk = 5x, Water = 4x
Add 36 litres of water:
→ New water = 4x + 36
→ New ratio = 5x : (4x + 36) = 5 : 6
Original mixture = 9 Ă— 36 = 324 litres
Final = 324 + 36 = 360 litres
