Quantity of water in the mixture = (420 – 30)/2 = 195 litres So, Quantity of alcohol in the mixture = (420 – 195) = 225 litres Total quantity of the mixture = 225 x (100/45) = 500 litres Therefore, quantity of water to be mixed = 500 – 420 = 80 litres
