Question
A milkman mixed milk and water in an empty container in
the ratio 15:8. The quantity of milk mixed was bought by the milkman at the rate of Rs. 28/litre. If he bought the total milk for Rs. 2100, then find the quantity of water mixed in the empty container. STSolution
Quantity of milk mixed = 2100/28 = 75 litres So, quantity of water mixed = (75/15) × 8 = 40 litres
