    Question

    A copper wire is bent in the form of a square with an

    area of 121 cm². If the same wire is bent in the form of a circle, the area of the circle will be:  (Take π = 22/7)
    A 145 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 154 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 165 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 172 cm² Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Area of square = a² = 121 => side a = 11 cm. Length of wire (Perimeter of square) = 4a = 44 cm. Circumference of circle = 2πr = 44. 2 × (22/7) × r = 44 44r/7 = 44 => r = 7 cm. Area of circle = πr² = (22/7) × 7 × 7 = 154 cm².
