      Question

      Circumference of one of the bases of a right circular cylinder is 88
      cm. If height of the cylinder is 7 cm more than its radius, then find the volume (in cm³) of the cylinder.
      (Use π = 22/7)

      A 13,552 cm³ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 14,168 cm³ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 12,936 cm³ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 15,400 cm³ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      E 16,016 cm³ Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Circumference of base of cylinder = 2 × π × radius So,
      2 × (22/7) × radius = 88 Or,
      radius = 14 cm Height of the cylinder = 14 + 7 = 21 cm Therefore,
      Volume of cylinder = π × radius² × height = (22/7) × 14² × 21
      = 12,936 cm³
