Question
When the ratio of the length and breadth of the
rectangle is given as 3:2. If the perimeter of the rectangle is equal to the perimeter of the square, whose area is given as 2025 square cm, Find twice the length of the rectangle?Solution
ATQ,we can say that Let the length and breadth of the rectangle be taken as = 3x and 2x Then, the Area of square will be = 2025 then, the Side of square is = 45 Perimeter of square= 4 × 45 = 180 Perimeter of rectangle= 2(3x + 2x) = 180 x = 18 So,the length of the rectangle is = 18 x 3 = 54 Hence, the twice length of the rectangle will be = 54 × 2 = 108cm
