field is 3:4. The total cost of cutting the grass of the field at the rate of Rs 12 per m2 is Rs. 28224. Find the cost of fencing the boundary of the field at the rate of Rs.15 per m. ÂSolution
Let the length and breadth of the field is 3x and 4x respectively. Area of the field = 28224/12 = 2352 m2 So, (3x × 4x) = 2352 ⇒ x2 = 196 ⇒ x = 14 Therefore, the length of the field = 3x = 42 m And the breadth of the field = 4x = 56 m Required cost = 2 × (42 + 56) × 15 = Rs. 2940
