    ATQ, We can say that Income of Pankaj is = 6 units  Then, the Savings of his = 2 units  Therefore, Expenses will be = 4 units So, new expenditure is = 5 units  And new savings will be = 1 unit  If 1 unit value is = Rs 1700  Then, 6 units value will be =( 6 x 1700) = Rs.10200  Hence, the required salary will be = Rs.10200
